Knowing the difference between BB, CC, and DD cream

Knowing the difference between BB, CC, and DD cream:

So to a fairly new makeup user or even an intermediate makeup user knowing the difference between BB, CC, and DD creams doesn’t really seem like it’s that important. You just buy one and put it on your face right? But knowing the right type of these tinted moisturizers to use can be very important for your skin. So the first thing you need to know is what the difference between them is. And which one is best for you.

BB Cream:

This cream’s name stands for beauty balm. It is used to hydrate, smooth, and brighten skin. They also typically contain SPF to help protect skin again harmful UV rays. Just remember that this not a replacement for sun screen. The SPF tends to only go up to around 15. There are other benefits of BB creams, but it depends on which brand you are buying.  Some BB creams even claim that they can help smooth and even out skin tone. This cream tends to have a lighter coverage. It can also be used as a moisturizer or primer.

CC Cream:

This cream’s name stands for color correcting. It is used for addressing redness or sallowness in skin’s color. This cream provides more coverage than BB creams, but that is not also standard across the board because it is lighter than BB cream. This being said it can also have a lot of the same properties as BB creams; such as SPF protection.

DD Cream:

This cream’s name stands for daily defense. This cream tends to supply more anti-aging benefits than the other creams. It also typically has more coverage than a BB cream. It is considered more of a super cream, because it combines the aspects of BB and CC creams into one cream with additional benefits.

Now that you have read the difference between them, it is up to you to decide which one is best for you. Even though these are tinted, they aren’t quite ready to take the place of foundation just yet. I think they still have a long way to go for that.

I really hoped this helped those of you who didn’t know the difference decide which is best for you!
